Once again, the pictures are not in the right order...but, oh well....that's the way the cookie crumbles....or out here in the planes....that's the way the wind blows....
Last night we camped at "Camp Cabela's". We were kind of geeked and traveled further than planned because we wanted to camp in their parking lot. (Yes, wierd things we like to do.) But they had dog kennels, horse corrals, water, etc. ... all in their rear parking lot. Not bad....if you like sleeping next to an idling semi truck.
We never heard a thing as we crashed last night.
Chris bought another Garmin for hiking and treking. Don't know what the difference is from the other one that we have, other than our old one has to be plugged into the car and on a road. I guess that's a big difference.
So, here is our first campground...not bad, huh?
About 8 am we left Cabelas, in Rogers, Minnesota and drove 40 miles north to Ron & Roseanne's home in St. Joseph, MN. We met them on our last trip to AK and kept bumping into them along the way. Turns out that they are returning to AK also. Should have some more wonderful memories with them. Roseanne made a wonderful lunch. Don't know what the name of it is....but here is the recipe: put boneless chicken in glass pan, cover with saurkraut, swiss cheese and then pour 1,000 island dressing over it. Bake for ??? but you can figure that out. It was so awesome! Totally yummy. But....don't expect any more recipes in THIS blog!
Tomorrow we will be crossing into Canada sometime in the morning. Tonight will be the last of our "free" showers, as in Canada they cost loonies or toonies. We will enjoy and soak it up. So, until I find wifi again on our week (or so) of traversing Canada....may you all be well.
Until we connect again.........
