Well....all the "young-'uns" are growing up. Chris was out on the lake and he noted mommy & daddy swan taking their brood of cignets for a swim. There were 5, but only 2 showed in this photo. He was shooting right into the sun, so we're very lucky to get this pic.

We're going to have cucumbers soon! This one is about 4 inches. One would think we'll have a cucumber by next week. Loads of blossoms.

The tomato plant probably grows an inch over night....every night. Chris had to go cut a dead branch to extend the stake that is tying up the plant. It's 3 foot high right now. Whenever we get tomatoes....we're gonna have a ton!

Chris was out fishing and saw this heron type of bird on one of the docks....he cruized up closer and saw that it was a fake. We imagine that it is meant to lure these birds in to the dock....because there are these birds on the lake. Sure had us fooled.

The Canadian geese families are growing up. We had a nice view of them, sunning themselves, this week. I wonder when they will be flying. Remember that movie a few years ago of that Canadian girl who rescued a brood of baby Canadian geese, taught them to fly, and then had them follow her flying an ultra-light plane down to a winter area in the south U.S.? Good movie. Also, the geese imprinted well, because they return to her farm each summer. Can't remember the name of the movie. Anybody remember?

Charolette and her brood came over last Sunday for a dip and a cook out. Had such fun.
The pool was a real draw on those hot days. And the nice thing about Sundays is that the week-end campers all leave by 2 pm....then we have the pool to ourselves! Here's Raegan.

Then we had a bonfire....making smores. I'm surprised Kennedy had one; she just wanted the chocolate!

Julio got here after work for a little while. We managed to gather the kids for a group shot. What fun. The little guys are goofy. We loved every minute. Too bad the mosquitoes decided that these little ones were a juicy morsel :(
Luckily we had a little rain and things have cooled down a bit. That heat was all I needed to make us want to be in Alaska! Perhaps next year?????
Until we "connect" again.....
