It's done a lot of raining since we've been at Twin Mills Campground. But, that's OK...it reminds us of Alaska. We haven't been here steady since April 15; just off and on. Home for church, dr. appointments, and on and on. But, that's the nice thing about being that close to home.
So, we are doing some odds 'n ends around the camp now while the sun shines.
The flag that we bought in Willow, Alaska got a place of honor. See the little garden flag of a beagle, to the left of the flag and hose? Acquired that in St. Augustine, Florida when we were down there a couple of months ago.
The trees and grass are much greener....and so is our camp area.
These little Canadian Geese were hustled into the kids fishing pond by mom and dad as we approached. I know that many people in these parts don't really appreciate or like these Canadian Geese because of the doo doo that they leave everywhere. But, we're enjoying them. These little guys will probably never leave since they were obviously hatched right here....and won't fly north to Canada.

Since last week these fuzzy little guys have grown a bunch. And now there are three little "families" hustling around with their babies. Lots of fun watching them. Thank goodness for a zoom lense on my camera. Can't get close to them at all.
The docks are in. Chris' spot is on the far left. The boat is here, but we didn't bring the truck back to put it in the water. By next week we should have it in....or so I'm told. This is the first pretty picture of the lake with the blue sky. It's 60 degrees today. Tried to stop and buy a tomato plant, but the nursery where I stopped didn't have them. Will have to try another place.
This place is pretty quiet right now. A few more folks come in on week ends. I do beleive it's much like Alaska.....i.e. nothing really happens until after Memorial Day.

Chris did the mowing to tidy up the yard.
Then we put up the "bug hut" for our "storage shed" for my bike and the mower. I'm sure when the mosquitoes come out it will revert to a bug hut again. The sides roll up so that we can have plenty of sun & breezes ....just keep out the little flying critters.
That green bin with the cement block on top is the charger for Tommy's wireless invisible fence. I plan on putting a potted plant on top of it. She is not getting used to the boundaries very quickly. She prefers to just stay in one place. As you can see...she's getting with the relaxation part of camp life.
There's are not loads of new things going on or places for us to visit. I will post things as they happen, but no ways near as often as I have on our travels. Shipshewana is close and we will be make some trips there. I love seeing the Amish horse and buggies on the road.
Until we "connect" again.....
and....enjoy your summer.
