This morning Chris is gone getting the tire replaced. Waiting for him to return. Giving Tommy plenty of walking outside. Beautiful morning; lots of blue skies with high haze; chilly. I'm finding that I don't like it with no phone. Chris is gone to Canadian Tire and I can't call him and see how things are going. Shopping is no fun, because I go different ways than Chris, then call him to see where he is, so I don't have to look all over the store. Two modern conveniences not working for us now. :-(
Turns out that the above piece of metal is what came out of the tire. Wicked?
Just had a thought....if there's one person you want to be with if something unexpected happens, it's Chris. Like the flat yesterday, the other day one of the boat trailer tires was wearing wierd and he was watching it, checking other things along the way, etc, etc,. He always know what to do.

Since we were having to spend some extra time in Grande Praire, Alberta, CA, we decided that it was time that we gave our traveling partner some extra perks. She got to stay at the Super 8 motel.

She had dinner out.

She got a chance to sleep in a real bed....which she never does any other time.
Tommy had her chance to be pampered. She also got petted by everybody as she entered and left the motel....
