She made up these boxes for each campground with all kinds of stuff that will be helpful for us.: manual, forms, bear signs (ooooooooh, hope I never have to post a bear sighting poster), box of rubber gloves, bug spray, bio hazard bags, fee envelopes, etc, etc, etc. Nice lady. She is such a nice lady....that when we made the comment about not having milk to go with our cookies yesterday....she went out today and brought in a 1/2 gallon of milk to go with the cookies. Yummy.
This is Dan, another Ranger. Nice guy. He did the talk about all the things that happen in the park: i.e. meeting and greeting the public, when to call for back-up, etc. He did the trivia challange questions. Up here, they refer to going to the lower 48 states and "going outside."
This is Paul. He is one of the maintenance crew that we have met since the first day. Very helpful. He talked about using Park vehicles, and all that goes along with that. He was real scared to talk with everyone, but did a real good job.
This is Vic He is the "Back Country Ranger" who pushes lots of paper and take super care of the hosts....like us. He ate all the donuts. But he has done lots with putting up new and better signage int he parks.

All in all, the two days were very productive.
Anyway, we are going to move the 5 miles over to our campground tomorrow morning and get all set up. Apparently the droves begin to arrive tomorrow. We'll see how this goes!
Won't be able to post until I come back here to the Maintenance compound to shower or do laundry in a few days. (This is Alaska....showers are not everywhere....and certainly not in our 6 ft. camper.)
Until we "connect" again.
