Putting the final touches on packing a few things like fishing gear, target & "bug hut" in the boat, Chris puts some extra tie-downs on the boat cover, so that it can withstand the whipping of the wind, being pulled behind the camper. He had to look quite a ways on the internet for these
extra long tie-downs. They fit the bill, stretching all the way under the bow of the boat.
And while Chris was putting on the finishing touches, Jozie crawled up in one of the apple trees to watch Papa. Gee....just a year ago, Dean tried like anything to get a picture of her in the apple trees that were full of the beautiful white buds. Jozie would have nothing to do with it. What a difference a year makes...now she just jumps up there by herself!
We are basically ready to begin our trek. We're still adding the last few clothing items to our cloth bins. Saturday we will plug in the refrigerator, and then shop for the refrigerator stuff. Sunday we travel to Granger for our #12 grand-daughter, Madison's First Communion. Then....North to Alaska!
