TEST RUN FOR THE "BUG HUT"

Having a beautiful, sunny, blue sky on Easter, we decided to set up our new "bug hut" that we bought at Cabela's. Our old one wore out, and was not water proof....which we really needed, seeing as we seem to spend a lot of time in areas that have lots of rain; i.e. last year in New Hampshire & Maine, and in 2008 in Alaska. So......it was time to shop for a new one. This is it....without the rain fly on yet. It's big, has 3 doors and can fit a picnic table inside. This is of prime importance since Alaska is the land of the gigantic mosquitos! and "no-see-ums". Andrea is helping us. She and Dad are sorting out the rain fly to put over the top.
Here's the rain fly on and Chris is putting down some of the stakes on it.

This is the finished product. We're going to leave it up today. It's a bit breezy today and we'll see how it goes with the wind. It was a lot of work putting up this first time. I'm sure it'll get easier. But, I sure would not want to go through the effort to put it up just for an over-night stop.
And I found this sad little Honda, our trustee generator all alone in the workshop. I had totally forgotten him. He was sitting so quiet (unlike those pesky PFD's) all covered with saw dust....just waiting his time in the sun. Soon, Honda, soon....
