FREE AT LAST! FREE AT LAST!

Pretty red Lowe shed her winter blanket today. We about took flight in the 13 mph gusts of wind as we tried to fold the 30' x 60' tarp that Lowe was wrapped in. As you can see the trees still look bare, but are budding, Chris has a winter jacket on, it's the first day of Spring but the wind is blustery from the north. Not a real pretty day out there...but any day is a good day when preparing for the Alaska trek #2.
We put those pesky PFD'S in their cubby on Lowe. Chris re-installed the marine batteries on the boat.
Can ya see the smile? Yup...we're finally getting ready.
Only about 5 weeks till we leave. I just found out that the kids are taking bets on what specific day we're leaving. It WAS May 1st, now it is inching sooner. When I became aware that it is 4,000 miles and we would have only 12 days to make it there if we left on the 1st....I decided that i didn't want 500 mile days. Those are killers. So....moving, moving, moving.....
