AUGUST 28; ST. MICHAEL'S PARISH ANNUAL PICNIC

The day dawned with not a cloud in the sky. It was a tiny bit brisk...a wonderful day for the annual St. Michael the Archangel Parish picnic. (unlike a couple of years ago when a storm was up the night before and collapsed the big tent!) What a day....the street was closed off to through traffic, and everyone was there.

The little ponies were a big hit, as in years before. The kids got to take turns going inside the enclosure to pet them.

This five week old colt with its mommy was a real star. His owner says that he is not bashful, but runs with the older horses....only comming back to mommy when he wants to "eat".

Fr. Dave enjoying kibitzing (sp?) with folks. And see the baby on Anna's shoulder? She was lovin' that.

See the "incognito bingo player"? He's in sunglasses in the tent..... Yup, Chris says he doesn't play bingo.

....and isn't this a happy little guy. Trav is a sweetie.

Mid week we head east for our nephew's wedding. We hear that they are not under water from the hurricane. So, until we "connect" again....
